I bought this book because I have an interest in Hunduism, but mainly I bought it because at the time I lived only a few miles from the author's ashram in Washington, DC. I had read transcripts of some talks he gave and I found them intriguing. I've read some introductory texts on Hinduism, but have not had the chance to read any of the scriptures themselves. Needless to say, I found this book to be entirely outside of my realm of knowledge on the subject. As such, I hope someone out there more scholarly than myself can get something out of it. Perhaps I'll try to get it back one day after I'm much more well-read. In the mean time - enjoy!
