Don't run from this book because it says "guide". It is so much more! It is a book full of beautiful photographs, artwork, pen and ink drawings and detailed maps that give you a wonderful overview of Montana. I bought this book before leaving on a two-week road trip to Montana and Idaho and it is the type of book you would enjoy reading weeks and months ahead of a trip and then taking the book with you because it contains practical information also. It is such an entertaining book and I loved the stories about the rodeos and the extracts they included from cowboy poets. So...if I loved the book so much why am I swapping it? I have two copies and I am keeping the other!
