I am sooooo glad I requested this book! It now has a permanent space on my shelf. I picked it up expecting to learn about wine, but I didn't expect to encounter such humor in the writing...it made for a wonderful book that I couldn't put down. It covers everything from the tiniest nuances of wine-tasting to the basics of how wine is made, and then goes into more detail on the different kinds of wine and how to choose the best one for your particular palate or gathering. I've learned so much and already I'm having fun with choosing the proper wines. A great book that is much more than just a "how to" or a "guide" - it's worth the read.
