Anybody ever use Whizz kids word power? We have microsoft word 2003, this book was published in 2001. Would it still be relevant?  Was it easy to use? Thanks for any info

I used it recently - yes it is still good to go.

The thing is, the newer features are not going to be stuff kids use - the whizz kids books teach about copying and pasting, fonts, the really basic stuff - they don't go into document tracking and review and stuff like that! So they are fine, yes.

Yes, that is true, but it is a mixed blessing for us.  My son is using some old computer animation programs and the books have all been posted that we've needed.  A newer version would have cost us much more than we could have afforded.

Everything will translate to the newer versions in MOST cases, just the old books generally won't have the new features.  The only really big exception is when a company gets bought out and the whole interface of something might change, but that's not that common.

I'm just very thankful that my son is enjoying open source and old programs so much.  :)
