It's a BAD book! She mentions important things in passing without giving any kind of background or introduction. The writing is extremely inflated. However, I haven't read the second half of the book (from Bismarck on), so the possibility remains that she did a better job with that period, since it seems to be her speciality.

At any rate, it's a well regarded book.
