I must say, this 2nd book in series turned out to be a good read after all. Once you get past the 1st 1/2 of the book of where it goes thru all the "characters that will be saved". First 1/2 of book, I got to say I almost retired it, as it goes into individual character lives that will be saved...appeared at most to be very disjointed, but once you get thru that 1/2 the author does tie it altogether, and the book "takes off". I liked how Brynna is tending to be more human in feelings and not her usual cold self. I always liked her, but she is definitely on the road to redemtion. Really wish she could be a little warmer towards Eran, as all he wants to do is really help her. All in all gave a 4 star.
Brynna continues her path to redemption as another nephilim, guided by a seer whose husband has been kidnapped by a demon, rescues those who then commit heinous acts...
Brynna's path becomes mre intensive as the story progresses, and as she becomes more adept in human ways. Her growing attachment to Eran and Grunt, his deaf dog who showed such affection and loyalty in her first adventure(HIGHBORN) drew me in, making me root for Brynna, Eran, Grunt, and her future.
The book continues to keep me rooted to the page as I follow her adventures. Truly a good book. and I eagerly anticipate the next adventure...
