"NORAH LOFTS TAKES HER PLACE WITH THE FINEST CONTEMPORARY WRITERS OF HISTORICAL FICTION...THE CONCUBINE IS THE VERY FINEST NOVEL SHE HAS WRITTEN." -CHICAGO TRIBUNE« less
i loved this book. there are so many books out there about this subject. some are great, and some are not. this one i could not wait for bedtime to read it. i am keeping this one.
Well written historical fiction! Not a romance novel which is what the cover looks like. Lofts is a wonderful author and this is a great book which will teach the reader a lot about 17th century England.
