Wow--I didn't expect to like this book as much as i did. I thought it would just be interesting--but it was so much more. It was deep, sad, heart touching, and memorable. The story of two men--one to die the next day, one there to oversee the death. they spend the night talking and find out they are not so different, they both are men and both have lives not so unalike. One bad man, one good man, both men in the end--I loved this read, read it in one afternoon--could not put it down.

NOTE: Paperbackswap.com says that this ISBN is for a large print book. It is not. ISBN 0-679-77905-1 is for a regular print paperback - however the print is larger with more spacing between lines than print in many books. There are 30-32 lines per page. Counting lines in three paperback books I have nearby, they range from 34-36 lines per page. The one large print book I have has 26 lines per page.
