First, I think most packaged cookies taste awful, so a cookbook that makes them fresh has to be a winner. This is the second volume of this book, and you might be wondering what cookies they mimic. There are ten Pepperidge Farm recipes, Oreos, Royal Dansk Butter Cookies, six varieties of Starbuck's cookies, and Banana Walnut Bread. In addition, the author provides five Nature Valley offerings. There are also three Trader Joe's cookies and Whole Foods 365 Organic Chocolate Chip Cookies. There are fifty recipes in all.

These recipes do not offer photos but include prep time, cooking time, servings, ingredients, and directions. Unfortunately, there is no nutritional information provided for these treats. However, there is a Table of Contents, and readers may touch the cookie recipe title and go directly to that page.

These recipes are more likely to call for things like cake flour, whipping cream, and buttermilk because they imitate the original. However, after reading all the recipes, I decided I wasn't interested in duplicating these recipes.
