Country Sunshine, The Dottie West Story is a biography of the late Dottie West. Country Sunshine takes the reader into the humble farmhouse which Dottie West inhabited during her childhood. Her rags to riches and back to rags story tugs at the heartstrings or the reader. Raised in poverty and sexually abused as a child, West rose above her humble beginnings to reign as the Queen of Country music. Her duets with Kenny Rogers allowed her to crossover into pop music where she achieved even more success.
