How often have you passed right over something of great value, and not noticed it?

Whether we realize it or not, we all hold assumptions about how the world works that are so basic we don?t even think about them anymore. We just accept them as true. And yet, these same assumptions absolutely have a profound impact on the results we get in life.

These assumptions are buried deep. So deep, in fact, that we may not even be aware of what they are, and of the myriad subtle ways that they control our decisions, moment to moment. And therein lies a complication. It?s hard work to try to ferret out the sort of assumptions that are so basic, we don?t even realize that we have them.
