I just signed up and posted 9 books but only received 2 credits instead of 3 as promised by PaperBack Swap. Does anyone know why?

I think that the policy changed on Oct. 1st.  New members get 2 instead of 3 now.

From the October newsletter:

 

Remember, the "startup credits" for new members at PBS are going to change from 3 credits for the first 9 books to 2 credits for the first 10 books on FRIDAY, October 5th.   So if you are thinking of referring anyone, do it now to make sure they get an extra book!

Greg, if your third credit does not appear contact R&R (see CONTACT US) at bottom of any page.

 

ETS: Greg, I see only 2 books posted on your shelf. Did you already receive 7 orders?

Greg,

I don't think the policy has changed yet.  In  the Help Center, it still says 3 credits after posting your first 9 books.  You might want to contact R&R.

The change takes place on October 5, according to the newsletter, so you should get your 3 credits.  First, click on My Account and Credit Registry.  Check what's in there.  Everything should be listed.  Is it possible that you ordered a book, or that one of your wishlisted books was on autorequest and it's on its way?

 

If not, and you don't see your three initial credits listed there, go down to the blue "contact us" link at the bottom of the page and send it in as feedback.  They'll fix you up.

I did in fact post 9 books but have already received 2 orders that I am mailing out tomorrow. The bottom line is that I have not received 3 credits as promised and I have contacted the "powers that be" to be advised of this.

Sounds like a system glitch.  You did the right thing contacting R&R....they usually respond pretty quickly, so I'm sure they will fix it for you.

Greg, with the giant influx of new members, I'm sure that you were a victim of a glitch. (I'm sure you noticed the "What's goin on? Why are things acting wacky?" posts!) I'm sure R&R will get things fixed as soon as possible.

Greg, looking at your bookshelf, you only have 2 books listed on there right now, and you say you have two orders, so that's only four books posted.  Are you sure you had 9 posted?  If so, the quickest way to get your 3rd credit would be to send a message to the people who run the site through the Contact Us button at the bottom of the page.
