I don't know if this is possible or allowable, but can I possibly trade $2 of PBS money into credit(s)? And if it is possible, how do I go about doing it?

No, i don't believe you can. You can always sell credits to people on here through paypal, than take the money and put it into your pbs money.

And I believe before you can give credits to someone (after they paid through paypal), you have to get your first 2 books first (correct me if I'm wrong)

Oops, I knew I wasn't being as clear as I should be. I mean my $2PBS for someone else's credits. And I've sent and recieved more than 2 books.

If I can't do that, is there anyway at all I can transfer the $2PBS to someone else for $2Paypal or something? I've decided to stop using the PBS money since it ends up costing me more, and at the balance it is, I cannot send out books on it with full postage, and I don't want to spend the +$0.50 for putting more money into the account.

Unlike credits, there is not a way to transfer your PBS money to someone else's account.

Are you leaving PBS?  If not: I would just leave it in there and the next time I had a multi-book order I'd use it for DC.  The only time I use DC is for games and multi-book orders.

I agree with Mary.  If you don't want to just leave it there for another time, you can always "use it up" by using the DC option only on the next several orders.

Not to be dumb, but is there a DC option only?  I have never used PBS postage because there is an easy post office right across the street from me, but I have to wait in a long line to do DC which is a pain (yes, I have become a swap addict).  But I can use my own postage and use DC through PBS?

Yes, there is a DC only option in the wrapper printing settings.  I believe it is the second option offered.

Here is the Help Center link: How to Use PBS Delivery Confirmation

Normally DC just doesn't make financial sense to me as the cost eventually out weighs the cost of a lost book.  But if I'm sending multiple books to one person then it seems worh it because there's more than 1 book/credit at risk.  Like last week when I sent an audio book and a paperback to the same person. I used DC for that because that's 3 credtis I'd be out.

I'm not leaving PBS but I have switched over to using Paypal shipping which automatically puts in DC in order for you to ship the books.

So heres my question, (i'm a little new too, getting the hang of things) if you use paypal shipping, how do you get your credit? When the reciever marks it as received then? and you just don't worry about printing the label off here or what?

Yes, you get the credit when the receiver marks it received.  You can just look at the address and handwrite it out to put on PayPal shipping.

There is no credit guarantee when you use Paypal DC though.  So if the book goes lost then you're out the credit.
