An intimate bio of Rev. Shunryu Suzuki, written by one of his first American students, Rev. David Chadwick. This is straightforward, no-nonsense biography yet it draws the reader into it, like warm, welcoming arms. The account of Suzuki's final illness and passing, alone, are worth the read.
