Fascinating story of ship wrecked conquistadors who made their way from Florida to Mexico, led by the black slave of one of the men. Author traces the historical records of this story and make being a historian sound like a detective novel. I really enjoyed the book but sometimes felt the author got lost in the research at the expense of the story.
