Almost finished reading the non-fiction book, Couldn't Keep It to Myself: Wally Lamb and the Women of York Correctional Institution. It's a phenomenal and heartrending account of several inmates lives before and leading up to their incarceration. As one contributor pens, "What I hope is that people reading this book will bear in mind that we are human beings first, inmates second. Other bibliophiles will appreciate and quote passges from The Book That Changed My Life: 71 Remarkable Writers Celebrate the Books that Matter to Them. There's a great recommended reading list in the appendix. If you liked the way The Thirteenth Tale related to readers, I guarantee you'll like this compilation.
