What book features the most damaged (emotionally and/or physically)hero that you've ever read?

Synnam Butler in Simply Love comes to mind for me as does Robert in England's Perfect Hero, although most likely there are heroes far more damaged than either of them--I just adore those two heroes though and both books make me cry.

Hands down that would be Ken Norton in Christine Feehan's Deadly Game, in her Ghostwalker series.  That was my favorite book in her series.

These are good. Gonna add a few more:

Trey Hawthorne from Devotion by Catherine Sutcliffe

Sam from Forever by Theresa Weir

Troy from The Lily Brand by Sandra Schwab

Just a few, I can probably come up with more :)

Hands down, Gabriel from Broken Wing by Judith James.

Christian Langland - Flowers From the Storm - Laura Kinsale

These are my first and second place winners.

I also would include as the third entry,    Hamish McRae of To Love a Scottish Lord by Karen Ranney.  I can't forget what they did to this guy and for such a long time.

And fourth place would be Sir Alistair Munroe in To Beguile a Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt.

I am sure there are others that qualify, but these are the ones I have read.
