Michele's friend Andre is openly gay, yet he is a wonderful mentor and really almost a father to the young and passionate beauty. Michele's basic problem is that she has to choose between a life on the stage and a life as the lady of the castle. Ian wants a traditional wife, and though he is anything but domineering he is very stubborn about asking Michele to give up her career. How they resolve this problem is both touching and unexpected. This book is wonderful -- don't miss it!
