This is a moving book and unlike most romances, the heroine is "imperfect". I loved it.

I loved this one. You don't see a lot of books featuring women who were soldiers. This was unique (I think) because Maggie was an amputee. I thought the author did a good job explaining the difficulties one faces (both physically and emotionally) when a limb is lost. I cared about the characters and wanted them to have their HEA.

I had high hopes for this book but they all fell flat. This book is chock full of romance cliches. Old boyfriend dumps her - check. Fighting attraction to hero because of (father's) past deeds - check. Have to give up her career that she loves because of something bad that happened to her (don't want to give spoilers) - check.

If you like old school romances, this may be something you will enjoy but I can not recommend this book.
