I think this is a good book for a family dealing with cancer, it give's a outlook how to explain to a young pre-teen or about that age how to cope with the process of cancer, and it will help to understand some of the effect's it has on families. It a short book so it's a quick read, so it's perfect for the children and parent to maybe read together to help open up the conversation of cancer, and what each person might feel through the process of the cancer. I still suggest a parent to read the book prior so you know what you are about to read with your child, so you could be ready to answer question's.
