Both the hero and the heroine live the traumatic events caused by the villian, who is obsessed with them both. Although this story is about romance, its also about learning to trust again and finding inner strength. Its a beautiful story full of intrique and action.

the heroine is smart, resourceful and loving. The hero is tired of fighting and wants to find a place to call home. Once you start reading you won't be able put it down.

Two damaged people try to move on with their lives. Can they move forward despite their pasts, and can they come together in the end?

Danegeld was the silver the Saxons would pay to keep the dreaded Vikings from their shores.
It was the price a half-Irish beauty would pay to the keep the murderer of her parents at bay. The price to keep the powerful magic of her forebears from overwhelming her. The price to keep her stirring womanhood in check.
It was all one mightly Viking would give to retain the respect of the jarls and might of his sword arm.
And in England's Dark Ages, sometimes it was all that stood between what a person was and what he should be.
