Kate is a heroine who assumes too much about the hero, Matt's, motivations. She suspects him of being instrumental in her stepbrother's failing marriage. Matt turns the tables on Kate and forces her to admit her attraction to him. I didn't really care for the story, because it began to drag after Matt tricked Kate into accompanying him to the Caribbean, and, Kate was somewhat frozen and immature. I understood why she was this way from what the author told me about her, but seeing everything from her POV didn't make for a good read.
