The storyline is a good one, but I found it slow going. I tried it twice before I finally got into it, but then I thoroughly enjoyed it.
After an apparent suicide attempt, Jinx Kingsley is hospitalized suffering from post-traumatic amnesia. There, with the help of a brilliant doctor, she begins to piece together memories that leave her desperate and terrorized. Who wanted her dead? The book will keep you guessing until the last page.
The story line is good, and characterization is excellent, but still, I found this book to be tedious and very slow going.
A fast-paced, entertaining stand-alone mystery. I enjoyed this.
A crime book about Jinx Kingsley who is suspected of murdering her best friend and her fiance after they ran off together. Then Jinx supposedly tries to kill herself, fails and ends up with amnesia. But who really did it? Can she ever remember?
5 Star. Loved the book. Best mystery writer I have every read!
If you haven't read this one yet, you must....it is gooood
Great psycholigical mystery - Walters in the best!
A good mystery with several twists and turns. Jinx has amnesia. Or does she?? You keep turning the pages trying to discover the solution. Minette Walters writes a fine mystery.
A good psychological thriller. It has all the right elements....murder, jealousy and sexual absession. Very "Hichcockian!"
nice quick read; British pyschological thriller
Second book I have read by this author. Finished in one sitting.
Large print HB w/DJ.
Great mystery w/lots of intrigue. Minette Walters, a British writer does a page turning cliff hanger. I read it straight through.
