book 2 of the abbadon in. Not as scary as the first, not a lot happens until the end of the book but worth the read

The Abbadon Inn once housed a gangster named Jack Cooney who died in the 1950s--and whose spirit is reaching out to the Abbadon's new owner.
What a LAME excerpt! If that's all there was to it, it would put you to sleep.
No, it's better than that.
Yes, even the dead have desires.

Easy soft read of a haunted Victorian Inn. I thought this second book in the series was better than the first.

A request from the grave... John and Karen Dalton have just bought a restored Victorian house in the picturesque shore town of Cape May. It's called The Abbadon Inn. Running it as a successful business has become John's obsession. Karen, left alone a great deal of the time, has developed her own obsession.

Kiss me Deadly. She's found the love letters of a long-dead mobster named Jack Cooney. One by one, they reveal the strange and bloody history of the Inn, and of a woman Cooney loved and lost. Gradually, Karen becomes convinced that Cooney is still present, reaching out to her-falling in love with her.

But Karen will soon find out that arousing the dead can be a grave mistake...

You will never see things coming in this book.
