This is a book that is written as an alternate history. Basically it's World War II in an alternate universe. Instead of planes and bombs this world has dragons and magic. Instead of tanks, they have large beasts. It is an interesting read. There are many different characters and the author is very detailed and involved with each of them. I think it's a book you have to sit down and read each day or it gets a bit confusing and you find yourself flipping back to remember who is who and doing what. I myself have very limited time to read so it wasn't a great choice for me. If your want a very involving book this is it.
