The blade slide down her arm,
as the tears fell from her face.

Her eyes were opened to a new world today,
and she realized it wasn't what she had wanted all along.

A pill popped on the tongue,
assures her she won't feel.

Too many things today,
she doesn't want to deal.

The numbness overcomes her body,
and the weight is lifted off her shoulders.

Falling into this dark hole,
she never wants to leave.

The fear in her heart,
she can't seem to ignore,
is always getting the best of her.

So many things she shouldn't have done,
so many hearts she's broken.

A life she's crushed,
one she can't stand.

That life is hers.
