Harry Turtledove is the master of alternate history or "what ifs" that we all think about one time or another. In this book he explores the "what if" that America had been even more damaged by Pearl Harbor's attack, which almost happened and how lucky we were in the end.
History buffs will enjoy this book, and so will readers of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
