Though I was hesitant about reading this, due to all the fly fishing references, it was actually really good! Well written and a good mystery. I will definitely seek out the others in the series and read them.
A Great combination fishing and murder- it is easy to be hooked by this author.
A terrific series, stories told by the sidekick of the series, Paul Osborne. Lots of good, solid mystery plotting, good character development and...FISHING!!! Can't miss fun for fishing/mystery fans.
Takes place in Wisconsin's Northwoods about a retired dentist helping the Chief of Police tackle crime while flyfishing.
Loon Lake, Wisconsin's newly appointed Chief of Police Lewellyn Ferris, is a single woman, a tough-as-nails crime fighter, and a fly-fishing wonder. Retired dentist Paul Osborne hasn't fly-fished since his wife died, nor has he had a woman tell him what to do. But in the company of Lew Ferris, he is relarning both. And when he an his lady instructor find a well-dressed body floating in the moonlight, Paul adds deputy to his list of experiences. These are really good books, this is #2 in the series and they always pack an unexpected puch!
