This is an absolutely wonderful book. I was originally introduced to it as part of my Early Childhood Development curriculum, and now plan on keeping the book on my shelf permanently. It has many great ideas and practical ways to implement those ideals with infants and toddlers. I re-read it when I was pregnant, and had my husband read it as well. We both were reminded of basic truths of children and were resolved in our methods of treating children like human beings, not just dolls. I highly reccomend this book, above all others, for preschool teachers, expecting parents, new moms, granparents, and anyone involved with small children.
