Although I didn't like Audrey's ability to "see things," the story was entertaining. The solution was obvious as soon as it became clear why the second and third Lady Bainbridges died. An interesting wrinkle gave the story a final, unexpected twist.
The interactions between the characters keep the reader's interest. An obvious triangle is forming between Audrey, her husband, Phillip, and Bow Street Runner Officer Hugh Marsten. This is the second book that the three have been together. Audrey and her husband are in a marriage of convenience. Thus, Phillip's concern about his marriage is palpable.
