This was not what I thought it was, as it's an abridged version of the original, specifically created for ESL students, but I went ahead and read it. Great idea! I will be more effusive in the review for the original version, when I get it, but for now, I'll just make a few comments. These volumes have a vocabulary section and a glossary, along with some annotation of the text where needed, in the event of phrases a non-native speaker may not be familiar with (i.e., "we're in the dark..."). Great that these exist, so a wider audience can read at least rudimentary Agatha Christie, although, as her works are the best-selling books in the world, second only to Shakespeare and the Bible, someone would be pretty hard-pressed to find a language into which her voluminous library hasn't been translated.
