The retelling of a real-life murder in 1875 England. A fascinating look at Victorian society, as well as a murder mystery. Very enjoyable!

This is a very interesting and fast read. The author sets the stage and the characters up well, and you really get a feel for what their lives were like in the mid 1800's. I found his research very compelling and I can follow along with his conclusion as to who really murdered Charles Bravo. I don't think crimes like these can ever really be solved unless we discover time travel or find a long-lost confession. Using the information he discovered, I think he did a great job and really brought the mystery back to life.
