This book revolves around an adoption sub-theme. A pastor's wife in her 40s finds her perspective on life drastically changed when the son she placed for adoption twenty-eight years earlier contacts her and begins building a relationship.

The main idea behind the book is primarily about reaching out and adorning the gospel by helping those in need; leaving the comfort zone of the Christian community and religious ritual and living the gospel by taking it to those within our reach who are not looking for it.

Angela Hunt always surprises me. I was listening to the audio version of this book when an unexpected happening
almost caused me to stop in traffic. Although her books are always a pleasure to read, this is a book worth keeping. I renewed it from the library to listen again--I was that impressed with the story.

a non stop read ...I couldn't put this book down until I was through. It is an eye opener as far as what the church shoud be doing for the Lord.

This book was excellent. It made me think about my life and how I don't involve myself in people's lives with problems and showing them God's love.

This book really got to me. I read it from the library first, and I've now ordered a copy through the Club to read whenever I need a reminder that my true mission is outreach, bringing souls to Christ. Attending church doesn't complete my duty, it only begins there. Excellent book, one I wish my whole church would read.

I loved this so much and saw the spirit of my Pastor's Wife in this so much I loaned it to her and thanked her for being such an awesome lady. Though the main Character didn't discover how to be great like my pastor's wife until close to the end, it was a loving trip.

I wanted to like this book, I really did- it has a wonderful theme- of what believers should be living their lives for-
but I felt like the characters were flat- when the unexpected happened, I felt nothing- I felt like the author put more depth into the scene where a character puts catsup on his eggs...
All in all, it's a good book, fast and easy reading, with a good theme, just hope that her other books have a little more depth to them.

Pretty good. What happens when a pastor's wife's past comes back to haunt her
