They came to Texas to make their family whole. They fought for the land they'd come to love. An unforgettable saga of faith, love, and loyalty.

I gave this book 3 stars instead of 4 because although I enjoyed it, it did not keep me up until 1AM reading. I have ordered the second in the series so it is good enough to want to see what happens to the characters.

I enjoyed this story series of immigrants into the Texas territory and the crisis that they faced as they made a place for themselves and their families. It give insight to the hardships (physical and emotional) the early settlers had to deal with and how their faith and lack of faith worked in their lives. It's a very good read.
