Police officer A.J. Ferguson is the only one who can tell fellow officer Mac McDougal where Mindy Talbott and her son are being protected from her abusive husband. Talbott is a prime suspect in the disappearance of another woman. It was late at night when A.J. left headquarters heading for her car. Suddenly without warning a arm slipped around her neck and something stabbed into her side. Mac found her on the ground. "Call an ambulance!" he ordered. Suddenly, he realized how important A.J. is to him even if they are constantly fighting about something.
