You always have such good books but ruin them with the smoke. 

Hello group. I am one of those people that Sherry mentioned. A while back, I noticed her great list and enquired about it. When I first ordered, my "no smokers" RC tripped. When we went back and forth about it, I decided to take a chance. Let me say, for all purposes, Sherry does NOT smoke. You would never, ever know it. I have two 8-foot tall book cases for my TBR pile and I would never let a smoky book NEAR them, since it would taint every other book on there.

She has become my favorite person to trade with on here (we happen to have the same taste) and I've never once gotten a smoky book from her. On the other hand, I once lent a penpal (non PBS person) of mine a book to read. She sent it back so disgusting I had to put it outside and then eventually throw it away. She DOES NOT EVEN smoke - it was her husband! I think the above post was rude and well, just not necessary. Anyone who is on the fence about Sherry's books, not only do they not smell of smoke but she does great deals and ships very timely. One thing to consider is that your postal person might smoke. Your postal person may smoke WHILE delivering mail. There have been entire threads about this where people have RCs and report smoky books, yet the senders swear they don't smoke. Anyway, I just came on here to say there's no need for rudeness, and that well, Sherry is a great trader. Maybe I should shut up though, because I'd rather hog much of her books for myself. :-)

I did waive my RC for an order and the books were smoky. I didn't complain because I knew they were coming from a smoking environment. 

Heather, she just said she does smoke. It's pretty silly to insist she doesn't. I wasn't being rude, I was just stating a fact.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to start a thing (and I did not pm anyone), it's just what I think whenever I see one of Sherry's prodigious posts and it came out this time. I guess I assumed since she promotes her books so often that she doesn't get as many orders as she would like and I was just stating why I didn't order. It's true, she very often posts books I would otherwise order and every time I think what a shame it is. There was no plan or malice intended, it's just what I think when I see her posts.
