In the 1950's Canadian naturalist Farley Mowat went way out on a limb to let the public know his findings and feelings about wildlife and Eskimos. This book tells of the Ihalmiut and their slow demise. Farley Mowat loved them and his indictment of of their torturers and his tribute to the Ihalmiut is factual, heart rending, and very hard to stop reading.
