I have known about Carl Drepperd's books for years. A comprehensive survey of everything you wanted to know about antiques; phenomenal coverage. Even if you don't own them, you will want to read descriptions of the completely unique names and precise details of rare and long ago creations by artists who emigrated to the New World and used native materials, so many of which are prized and costly in our time. So interesting to read about devices and mechanicals that the early settlers used daily. The glass & porcelain entries are brilliant. It would cost tens of thousands of dollars just to collect the books he has researched (as shown in the included bibiography.)
