I was very impressed by the illustrations and context of the book.I feel this book should be on all bookshelves of those with a vivid outlook on a child's life.Also the adventure through the eyes of this baby lizard leaves you to understand there's a little child in all of us and Stephan Brodnax has found his inner child with the writing of this book.I applaud the author and his artistry and look for more from him.
I just got this book and used it during my storytime here in our public library. To see the response we recieved with every page turned was a joy to watch, each child wanted to know if Dillwyn had another book. We ordered 39 books and they were checked out within a few hours of their arrival. I recommend this book highly for any librarian to have in their possession. This book has now become one of our Children's Elite Books due to its popularity among children. Mr.Brodnax has created a following that has surpassed anything I've seen in my 32 years working with children.
