There's a far-fetched premise, but if you can suspend your disbelief, the romance is a delight. The hero in need of a mother for his son sees beyond the poverty causing the heroine's allergies, frumpy appearance and thrifty ways to the caring and intelligence that she possesses. Not only is the love story dreamy, the characterization of the hospital staff interactions is realistic.
