Good story-moved to tears a few times. Thought the villian's first appearnce wasn't as impacting as it could have been (no one listens to what he is saying or asks any questions).

This books takes place starting in 1879. It is about a widowed doctor and a wafe of a girl. Two of the most unlikely people to get involved. It reads a bit like a VC Andrews book in that there is a lot of looking back and a lot of childhood horrors that are still playing in this young ladies life. A very good book that you won't be able to put down.
