I love crafting, and my daughter and I are big into dollhouse miniatures- mainly one inch scale, but I have done the smaller scales also--my husband loves model railroading, like I do. We collect books and dvd's of how to's, etc.
I am currently working on refurbishing a dollhouse that looks like Tara, that I picked up at a tag sale. Since I can't afford to refurbish large historic houses, I do it with my collection. I also create my own miniatures to sell. I was wondering if there is anyone else here who is into dollhouses and miniatures, or model railroading??
In model railroading, no, I don't have a train, but I love putting the structures together. I am hoping to eventually create a small model village in G scale, or larger, in my back yard! lol! My husband and I go into long depth discussions about what has to happen to the yard before we can begin to do that. I read voraciously, everything I can, that helps me in my hobby, since I love to craft just about anything-- scrapbooks, altered art books, etc.

I love dollhouses, too! I have spent waaaaaaaaaay too much time on ebay looking at (and buying, lol) all sorts of dollhouse stuff. I have a beautiful Victorian dollhouse that I also got on ebay!

Thought I would share this website I found. It has FREE printable miniatures for dollhouses in every scale (including 1 inch). Some of the stuff includes cereal boxes, old fashioned money, even a printable laptop! Enjoy! http://www.printmini.com/printables/p1.shtml I love dollhouses. I have built two myself. Deffinitely a FUN hobby. Last Edited on: 8/8/07 4:48 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
