This was a great book about life, relationships, growing older, how we can still be beautiful at 50 or 60 -- whatever! A little scary as Beth looks back on her life and feels like she has nothing to show for her life, since she's worked with her family's political power to get her husband, Adam, into politics.
When he hits it big, she is kind of in the shadows.
It's also interesting how one looks the way one lives. To hear Lauri describe her as looking old and feeling sorry for her --
then when Beth is even older, she gets her looks back because she feels better about herself and takes better care of herself.

An interesting study in human nature, sexuality and love.
