I really enjoy Johnny D. Boggs' westerns. This is a lightweight but enjoyable story of three kids in a New Mexico town. They encounter an unlikely old albino neer-do-well with a story of knowing where $30,000 in lost gold is hidden in Doubtful Canon, which is overrun with Apaches. They run away with the albino (his name is Whitey Grey; can you believe it?) and encounter great adventures.

It's a pleasant story. Read it.
