If you had the chance, would you want to become a bird? A fish? A cat? A snake?

Captive of the mad scientist Dr Franklin, and his sniveling assistant Dr Skinner, three castaway children learn that they are about to become to first human/animal hybrids, whether they want the dubious honor or not.

A gripping plot with engaging characters, this story really gets into the mind of Semi and Miranda, not only when they are fighting to survive as castaways, but also throughout the entire process of Dr Franklin's experiments. The descriptions are fascinating and the plot is suspenseful.

It is a good thing this book is a fast read, because I simply could not put it down. :D
