Utterly and absolutely irresponsible with the advice for cats. Cats are obligate carnivores and dogs are omnivores; this book does not emphasize how truly different these two species really are. I was shocked that they advocated vegetarian diets for cats and fasting for cats. Fasting can put a cat into liver failure; cats are NOT like people and should absolutely not fast. Cats fed vegetarian diets go blind and experience heart failure due to the abscence of animal protein. They were born with teeth and claws, people; if you want a pet with a vegetarian/vegan diet, get a rabbit!! I am saddened and shocked that people who claim to care about animals choose not to educate people about a cat's true needs. Don't get this book if you have a cat!!

SOME helpful information, but also some unfounded junk. Natural healthcare is not joke...I know it works-for me and for my pets. I can't believe a vet would push so hard for someone to feed their dog raw foods, knowing that it poses a risk to the dogs. The book is much more opinion than fact-I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it.
