This book is really great! The characters are full. This story has light, dark, sad, funny, romance and good dragons (not the destroy the city variety.) I really wish she would write the third one she promised at the end. I would buy it hardcover in a heartbeat.

There is a short story by this author as well with some of the same characters. She used to send you a copy for $5 if you asked from her website. Last time I checked however she had stopped for a time.

The Last Dragonlord is the first book; Dragon and Phoenix is the second. The books can be read in either order, but it will be more fun (and more surprises) if you read them in order.

Well, this one was better than the first. It was a much more intricate plot and better characters, I think. I certainly enjoyed this one more and I will buy _The Bard's Oath_, if the author ever finishes it (though it has been a decade since _The Last Dragonlord_ was written, so I'm not sure when/if I'll get to read it).
As for what I'll read next, I'm not really sure, but it was certainly fun to read some fantasy again!
