n this story a girl named Megan opens a book and agrees to go for a ride with the dragon in a wagon she sees inside the book. Megan and the dragon have horrible luck because they continuously have to change vehicles. First the wagon does not go very far... so they hop into a car. After the car they get on a bus, then a boat, then a sled, next a truck, a train, a plane, parachutes, and a hot air balloon. As they change vehicles they slowly meet more people/animals who accompany them throughout the book. For example: on the bus they meet a horse and a fat hippopotamus. Note: on the very last page of the book are pictures of all the different vehicles Megan rode on with the corresponding word and a title `You can read these words with Megan.'
This story is told in a neat way. Except in one place, every other sentence rhymes. Excepting that one place, the story flows very smoothly. The pictures are bold and colorful, even if the animals are not drawn to size (the horse is bigger than the hippo). I especially like the way the plane has a face.
