Excellent novel for a glimpse into the life of a most colorful personage, John Charles Fremont. A much overlooked person of great historical contribution to the developement of our country . ... both political & expansionist influence.
This is a historically accurate portrayal of the life of John C. Fremont. It cronicals both the bold brave and the conically stupid facets of his life. This is a very good read for those who are interested in our earlier America. I would highly recommend this book
The story of John Charles Fremont and his wife, Jessie Benton Fremont. Blazing trails to the Pacific and back. A great love story and part of a great series by Nevin.
Very interesting book about the mapping and populating of California - an interesting time in history.
