I so enjoyed this story that I have been hunting down the entire Dry Creek series. It is charming, realistic, well written with great characters that I really bonded with. A fun read that's safe enough to give to someone as young as a pre-teen or as old as your mother, it's not going to offend anyone. I love books like this and really feel good about being able to recommend them.

Janet Tronstad and the Dry Creek series are among my favorites! Her stories are always witty and well-written. This one was no exception.
Linda and Duane are key characters in some of her other Dry Creek books, back when they were just out of high school and planning to marry. It was fun to read about them now years later, coming full circle with questions about their feelings for each other.

This is a great story.I love the Dry Creek series. Linda and Duane were high school sweethearts..They start the no name Cafe together and Duane leaves and gets a high paid singer and band career but he is not happy. He comes back to Dry Creek but Linda is not interested in him.He kisses her and she kisses him back but says that it is a mistake. She is cordial but cold to Duane. Duane wonders is there any hope that Linda will marry him?
